Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on 2 March 1942 in Ifewara, near Ife, in Osun State, Nigeria. Born to a very humble background, he humorously recalls that even poor people called them (his family) poor.
Right now, he has become the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG). He has been married for over 49 years to his lovely wife, PST Mrs Folu Adeboye, usually called Mummy G.O by RCCG members.
Surprisingly, Pastor Adeboye is a very Romantic man despite his holy ways and also being a man of God.
We will look into some of the things that makes him so romantic:
*Adeboye could not buy a ring for his wife but gave her a promise that she will never lack anything. Seems he his keeping to his promise.
*Adeboye would never eat food or drink anywhere if his wife doesn't approve first.
*Adeboye sometimes visits his wife's kitchen to give her moral support and taste the food. He also gives his advice on which fold needs more seasoning or salt.
*Adeboye never leaves the country (Nigeria) and is never more than a 2-hours drive away from his lovely wife on the month of her birthday. He made this promise to her after they got married.
*Adeboye always gives his wife kisses every morning when he is at home. He also prays for her before seeing anyone.
